Little guy falls foul of big corporation

Well it's been a while, I continued to collect and the count to a million continued. However my enthusiasm was doused last year when my online savings account got closed down because I made too many deposits, can you believe that? It's true, one day I was checking my balance online and I noticed my account had disappeared, so I called up to find out what had happened. I was told that I had made too many transactions so my account had been closed, all in the name of national security! Apparently they suspected my $5 or so of funding nefarious activity. So with my compounding machine turned off I stopped harvesting the street cash. It has taken me almost a year to come to terms with the closing of my account, but now I'm refreshed and re-focused and ready to chase the dream once more...

Moral dilemma

Well I found the mother lode the other day, $37 in one hit right there on the sidewalk. However my conscience would not allow me to take it. It was in a wallet outside a bodega, I felt it did not qualify as a find, as the dropper would most definitely have picked it up if they had been aware that it had fallen. This money was not "abandoned" it was genuinely lost. I looked in the wallet for I.D. but there was none, so my only course of action was to leave it with the proprietor of the bodega with my name an address and hope the owner stopped by to claim it.

In the plus column since the last post Mrs. Sidewalker found two dimes under a bench by the river (40° 45' 10.44"N, 74° 01' 23.93"W) I found a dime also, walking home from work today(40° 45' 54.33"N, 74° 01' 33.58"W) .

Meanwhile back at Cafe Cash I have found 3 pennies over the course of the last week or so. It is so easy finding money at this location it is like shooting fish in a barrel! (40° 43' 08.75"N, 74° 02' 05.71"W)

Loss of form

The money has continued to be found, however not by me. Mr's Sidewalker and Luke Sidewalker Jnr. have come up with 13 cents over the last week. I'm confident I will return to my eagle eyed best in the not too distant future. No outstanding finds just your run of the mill sidewalk cash. 10 cents (40° 45' 42.29"N, 74° 01' 39.94"W). 2 cents (40° 45' 49.93"N, 74° 01' 35.36"W). 1 cent (40° 45' 11.81"N, 74° 01' 46.74"W)

Let the compounding commence

It was a momentous find, two quarters no less, really boosting my balance and allowing me to open the savings account having exceeded the 50 cent minimum. The two quarters were down the back of a radiator in a hospital, well out of the reach of mere mortals, but no match for Luke Sidewalker's ingenuity and a pickle grabber! Repeat Business

I have had two repeat locations cough up some more pennies to me. A single penny at a newsagents (40° 43' 05.78"N, 74° 02' 04.50"W). Also a cafe has yielded 4 pennies in two days, this place literally spews pennies like Mt. Etna! So if you are ever caught short of a penny here is where you need to head. (40° 43' 08.75"N, 74° 02' 05.71"W) I continue my slow march to the depositable 50 cent total.
